This year’s Content Marketing World will be an all-digital event – Crain’s Cleveland Business

A signature event in the marketing industry that routinely brings thousands of visitors to Cleveland is going virtual this year due to safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Content Marketing Institute (CMI) of Cleveland announced on Wednesday, June 24, that the 2020 Content Marketing World Conference and Expo will be a virtual event. It said the main event will take place completely online from Oct. 13-16, “with additional content planned both leading up to, and after, Content Marketing World, giving registered attendees more opportunities to learn and network.”

This is the 10th year of Content Marketing World, which CMI says draws about 4,000 attendees a year from around the world to Cleveland. The event typically is held at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

“While we’re disappointed we won’t be able to get together in person this year for Content Marketing World, we are very excited to be creating a one-of-a-kind digital experience for our attendees with more ways to connect, network and learn throughout the rest of the year,” said Stephanie Stahl, general manager of CMI, in a statement.

She promised, though, that CMI staff members are “committed to ensuring CMWorld 2020 delivers even better content and the amazing experience that you expect from us: great speakers, sessions, leading technology solutions and networking opportunities,” all in a digital format.
